The first one is the new Levi's "Go Forth" campaign. There is a great emphasis on America, and being American, as these are America's jeans. Given current global and national situations, many people find themselves going back to their roots, and getting back into the domestic scene, as far as American made products are concerned. This ad does exactly that.
The second one should come as no surprise, it is an Apple commercial. There has been the recent trend of global consciousness, which starts at home. Apple has helped lead the technology front in moving to a more sustainable line of products, without sacrificing quality. Everyone wants to be "green" and do their part, and Apple has come up with a way to help making computers that way.
